There are times when an employee may find that they are without health insurance for a short period of time. Rather than take this risk, BBSI, under most circumstances, can provide the employee with a short-term medical policy-health insurance that is put into place for as little as 30 days or as long as 6 months. The cost of such a plan is minimal.

Circumstances in which this plan might be useful include:

• A newly graduated student
• A new employee not yet eligible for the corporate coverage and not wanting to pay the high cost of COBRA from their previous position
• A student taking a semester off from school and therefore not eligible as a dependent on their parents' coverage, or someone newly divorced and not employed

Remember, temporary insurance is not meant to replace permanent health insurance but rather to bridge a gap in coverage.
